leather working tools – and save money

I
have probably bought several thousand dollars’ worth of leather
tools.  Then I got to thinking where
to buy leather working tools for less than what I
had been paying.  The tools, especially stamps, are
expensive.  Most of my buying has been through Tandy. 
Tandy has a great selection of hides and tools.  But, one day
– I either got and email ad or I looked around on Amazon and found
they have quite a few.

Leather
working tools can be purchased at many other outlets.  You
simply have to search the internet to find them. I have looked
around the net on where to buy
leather working tools and
Tandy is still the largest supplier with a great assortment. 
But, Amazon has some of those tools, made by different companies,
for about one third the price.  I ordered some three and four
prong punches and although the handle was not as heavy for them
they were all stainless steel.  And I paid and incredible
less price for them.  So if you are in need of buying leather

less then search the internet and stop at Amazon and check what
they have.  One item that is very expensive at Tandy is belt
end cutters.  I did find those, just one pattern, at Amazon
for (as I said) one third the price of what Tandy had. 
FYI.  I have done leather work since I was a kid, but got
heavier into about fifteen years ago.  It doesn’t make a
living for me, so it is not something to try and do to make as
