Benefits of a recumbent exercise bike – vs. treadmill – My Inspired Media.
Benefits of a
recumbent exercise bike
In 2008 I had
a major operation. When I say major I was under for 15
hours. That operation left me weak and yes—skinny.
There’s nothing wrong with being thin, but I had no stamina
– no energy. My alternative was to drag myself up on a tread
mill and eat properly. The treadmill was fine except I have
a bad foot and eventually it played havoc on the foot. So I
looked at what the benefits of a recumbent exercise bike might
be.
Benefits of a recumbent exercise bike
I bought a
fairly nice one, but with no TV attached. I then would get
on it daily for 40 minutes, then do a few exercises for about 10
minutes such as sit ups, etc. Along with eating proper foods
my strength came back and I stayed slim and firm. If you are
looking at an exercise machine consider the benefits of a
recumbent exercise bike. There is no hard pounding
on a tread mill, no shock to your feet. Just pure straight
exercise. Now I lifted some weights, but very lightly
weights during that 10 minutes after so my upper body would build
strength. So each day I devoted almost an hour to exercise.
Forty minutes on the bike and ten minutes doing other upper
body exercises. I hope I have answered your question as to
the benefits of a recumbent exercise bike.
